America is one of the diverse nations in the world. The cultural and religious landscape is becoming more colorful and richer by the arrival of wave after wave of newcomers. The more immigrants become integrated, the healthier and stronger our country becomes. America can lead the countries of the world with people working together as citizens of one family.
Today one in three U.S. citizens is of non-European origin. In 20 years, today's majority may become the minority. This change is very evident among the student population of U.S. schools. Institutions and corporations are preparing for their future by including diversity in their leadership. American churches have yet to explore how to grow by reflecting the growing diversity in their community.
Agora's Mission Awareness Training is designed to equip congregation members to use diversity as an opportunity for community building and expanding the Kingdom of God. Agora has developed a specific curriculum with tools and training to establish a team to reach out and welcome all people into existing congregations.
